Venkatesh Pattabiraman

Founding Research Engineer at a stealth robotics startup and PhD student in Computer Science at Columbia University.

I focus on force-aware dexterity and robot learning, enabling robots to perform precise, force-dependent tasks with pinpoint accuracy. This involves both creating better sensory hardware and building self-adapting AI systems that leverage multimodal data.

I got my Master’s degree in Robotics working with Prof. Lerrel Pinto at NYU on multimodal robot learning and widely democratizing touch sensing through eFlesh and AnySkin. I did my undergrad at IIT Indore, developing actuators for dexterity.

In my spare time, I enjoy music, racquet sports, reading and sipping Yuenyeung.
